Scheduling your wedding

Please contact the church office (616-538-3070) to schedule your wedding.

Commonly Asked Questions

1. Can I have my wedding ceremony at the church if I am not a member?     Yes.

2. How much will it cost?     Fees are outlined below:

$150--Non-refundable deposit (due at the time of scheduling)

Non-members: $500 in addition to deposit and is due two weeks prior to the ceremony (includes rental of the building, services of a sound system operator, custodian, and an honorarium for the Grandville UMC pastor. No adjustments will be made if any of these services are not needed.) If requesting the services of our church organist/pianist, the check must be paid directly to him/her. ($250-$325 depending on ceremony needs)

Active Member familes of this church: $350.00 in addition to deposit and is due two weeks prior to the ceremony (includes services of a sound system operator, custodian, and an honorarium for the Grandville UMC pastor. No adjustments will be made if any of these services are not needed.) If requesting the services of our church organist/pianist, the check must be paid directly to him/her. ($250-$325 depending on ceremony needs)

3. Can I have someone other than the Grandville UMC pastor officiate the ceremony?     Yes, provided that the person officiating is an ordained clergyperson of a mainline Christian denomination.

4. Is there a requirement for premarital counseling? If the Pastor of Grandville UMC is officiating, yes. You are responsible for contacting our pastor no later than four months prior to your wedding to schedule pre-marital counseling sessions. 


Only one wedding per weekend can be scheduled.
